Single-Layer Fabric Shades

Like roller shades, pleated shades are made of a single layer of fabric, only the material is pleated instead of flat. They resemble cellular shades when viewed from the front, but because they don't have the insulating pockets inside, they don't offer the same level of insulation. However, pleated shades are great for light diffusion, glare reduction, and enhanced privacy, and can be combined with liners to enhance these benefits.

Sheer Shades For Lightweight Large Window Decor

If you like the folded look of pleated shades but want something bigger to fit large windows or glass doors, our sheer shades make a great alternative. Sheer shades combine the functionality of horizontal blinds and the pleated appearance of pleated shades with the elegance of sheer fabric. We offer a lot of great customizable options for our sheer shades, including child-safe retractable cords and room-darkening materials. Dress up your large windows with something airy, fresh, and functional- ask about our sheer shades!

Frequently Asked Pleated Shades Questions

The standard pleat size we offer is 1″, and it's generally the size that most customers opt for. However, if you prefer larger folds, we also offer a 2" option.

While both pleated and cellular shades have a similar appearance, cellular shades have a honeycomb structure that creates pockets of air for improved insulation. Pleated shades, on the other hand, have a simpler folded design without the honeycomb structure. Both make for excellent window coverings, but if you're specifically looking to improve your home's energy efficiency, we encourage you to check out our cellular shades instead!
