Things to Know
  • Because air gets trapped inside of the cells, Cellular shades act as great insulators. This helps to maintain the temperature inside of your home.
  • When opened, they easily compact at the top of the window.
  • Very little light gaps with this type of shade. It does depend on the manufacturer and the installation.
  • Sliding glass doors can have Cellular Sliders installed. Hunter Douglas offers Vertiglide, which creates a low profile so the shades are not intrusive once opened.
  • Reduces noise. The degree of noise reduction varies depending on the type of fabric.
